Article XIV
Terms of Use
By using travelfortaste.com (“the site”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site. Plain English, as much as we can manage.
§ 1 What this site is
travelfortaste is a food-focused travel guide. It pairs hand-written city guides with live, bookable food tours retrieved from partner affiliate networks (Viator, GetYourGuide), and offers an AI-generated itinerary tool. We earn commissions on bookings made through partner links. See our /disclosure page for details.
§ 2 Using the site
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the site beyond reasonable use.
- Re-publish our hand-written content as your own.
- Attempt to extract our database or partner-feed data in bulk.
- Use the site to send spam, harass anyone, or do anything unlawful.
- Interfere with the site’s operation or security.
§ 3 Bookings & payments
Tour bookings happen on the partner’s site (Viator, GetYourGuide). travelfortaste is not the merchant of record for those bookings. Refunds, changes, cancellations, and customer support for any tour you book are handled by the partner under their terms.
If you buy a PDF export ($7) or an itinerary subscription ($3/month) directly from us, payment is processed by Stripe. Refunds for these are at our discretion within 14 days; email [email protected]. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time from your account; you keep access through the end of the paid period.
§ 4 AI-generated content
The itinerary tool uses an AI model (Anthropic’s Claude Haiku) to assemble plans from real, currently-listed restaurants (Google Places) and real, bookable tours (Viator, GetYourGuide). The AI does not invent venues, but errors can occur: a restaurant may have closed, hours may have changed, a tour may have been delisted between sync intervals. Always confirm details on the partner site or with the venue before relying on them.
§ 5 Third-party content
Tour titles, descriptions, ratings, and prices on city pages come from Viator and GetYourGuide’s data feeds and are their content, not ours. Photographs may be licensed from third parties; attribution is shown where required. We are not responsible for the accuracy of partner-supplied content beyond syncing it faithfully.
§ 6 Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is.” We make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. We may add, remove, or change features without notice. Restaurant and tour information is illustrative; verify before travel.
§ 7 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, travelfortaste, its operators, and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.
§ 8 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising from your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms.
§ 9 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at our discretion, especially for violations of these terms. You may stop using the site at any time; if you subscribe, you may cancel from your account.
§ 10 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under or relating to these terms is resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
§ 11 Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
